lavna

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 10, 2026

Lavna is an app for practicing thinking skills. It is made by Sololearn Inc. (“Sololearn”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Lavna apps for iOS and Android, the Lavna web app, shared practice links and the lavna.app website (together, “Lavna”), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The short version

The rest of this policy gives the details.

1. Who we are

Sololearn Inc., 1521 Alton Rd, #247, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, USA, is responsible for your personal data (the “controller”). You can reach us at data.privacy@lavna.app.

2. What we collect

2.1 Data you give us

2.2 Data we create as you use Lavna

Anyone can open a shared practice link in a web browser and play without an account. We don’t store those answers, with one exception: for “estimate” questions, we store the guess together with a random ID saved in that browser, so each browser counts once in the crowd results. This is not linked to any person or account.

2.4 What we don’t collect

3. How we use your data

What we do Data we use Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Automated decisions. We don’t make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects by automated means only. Two things are automatic: a word filter blocks some words and all links in comments and names, and when two people report the same comment or profile, we hide it until a person on our team reviews it. People make every decision on reports.

4. Artificial intelligence

Many Lavna practices are created with the help of AI tools. Our team reviews them before they are published. We don’t send your answers, comments, profile or any other personal data to AI providers, and we don’t use your personal data to train AI models. If this changes, we will update this policy first.

5. What other users can see

6. Who we share data with

We don’t sell your personal data.

Service providers. Companies that host our servers and database (including sign-in and profile photos), send sign-in code emails, deliver push notifications, and collect crash and error reports. They process data for us under contracts that limit what they can do with it.

Apple and Google. When you sign in with Apple or Google, or buy Lavna Pro through the App Store or Google Play, they process your data under their own privacy policies.

Other users. As described in section 5.

Our team. Sololearn staff who work on Lavna can see account data when they need it: to help you, review reports, and run and fix the service.

Legal reasons. We share data when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith it is needed to protect the safety, rights or property of our users, the public or Sololearn.

Business changes. If Sololearn is part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may move to the new owner. This policy will keep applying to it, and we will tell you before that changes.

With your permission. In any other case, only if you agree.

7. International transfers

We store your data in the United States (Oregon). If you live outside the US, your data moves to the US, where data protection laws may differ from yours. For data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, with the UK Addendum and the Swiss amendments. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.

8. How long we keep data

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and by limiting who on our team can see personal data. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that your data will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

10. Your choices and rights

10.1 In the app

10.2 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you have all of the rights above. You can object at any time to uses based on our legitimate interests. You can find your data protection authority at edpb.europa.eu (EEA), ico.org.uk (UK) or edoeb.admin.ch (Switzerland).

In US states with privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon) you have the right to know what we collect, access it, correct it, delete it and get a copy. You also have the right to opt out of the sale of your data, of sharing it for targeted advertising, and of profiling with significant effects. We don’t do any of these. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; if you still disagree, you can contact your state attorney general.

In Brazil you have the rights under the LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados), including to confirm that we process your data and to access, correct, anonymize, move or delete it. Our contact for LGPD requests is data.privacy@lavna.app.

10.3 How to make a request

Email data.privacy@lavna.app from the email address on your Lavna account. For a guest account, include your profile ID (Settings shows it). To protect you, we check that the request comes from the account owner before we act. You can also use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that they act for you. We answer within 30 days (45 days in US states where the law allows), and tell you if we need more time.

11. Notice for California residents

In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information, from you, your device, and Apple or Google when you sign in with them:

Category Examples
Identifiers Email address, account ID, IP address, push notification token
Customer records Name, email address
Characteristics of protected classifications Age range
Commercial information Lavna Pro plan, trial and renewal status
Internet or other electronic activity Practice answers, comments, likes, use of features, server logs, crash and error reports
Audio or visual information Profile photo
Inferences Skill levels and the practices we choose for you

We use this information for the purposes in section 3, keep it as described in section 8, and disclose it for business purposes to the service providers in section 6. We don’t sell or share personal information (as these words are defined in California law), and we don’t collect sensitive personal information. We have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing data of people under 16.

12. Children

Lavna is not for children under 13, or under the higher minimum age in your country. Where Apple or Google can tell apps your age range (for example, where the law requires it), we check it when you start Lavna and don’t let anyone under 13 use it. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email data.privacy@lavna.app and we will delete it.

13. The lavna.app website

Our hosting provider records IP addresses in server logs for security. The Lavna web app stores your sign-in session in your browser (and, on shared links, the random ID described in section 2.3). These are needed for Lavna to work, and you can remove them by clearing your browser’s site data.

14. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we change the effective date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
